  2. I just invented this in my head and then thought: Hey this is too good –someone probably invented it already–Search for it on the internet! and sure enough. . .

    I buy organic milk in half-gallon cartons. For some reason it is harder to get organic milk in quarts and I like the brand I buy in the half gallon. Now and then the last pint goes bad. So I have started pouring half the freshly opened milk in an mason quart jar and putting that in the back of the refrigerator where it is colder. The milk stays sweet and fresh through the whole half gallon. I can think of all kinds of other uses for this too! Ice tea, home made sauces , etc. Little bottles are so hard to wash! This is so much more hygienic. Now I just have to figure out how to get my hands on one. . .
